I finally did it. I let my kids mix the Play Doh colors.
It was tough, giving up my control of the dough, but I feel like it made me a better mom, for at least a few minutes.
I know that tight-chested feeling when your kids get out the glue and head for the glitter. I know that familiar feeling of frustration when I try to make something with my boys and they won’t “do it right.”
Moms, let ‘em mix up the colors once in a while.
If you can’t bear the thought of letting them squish all the colors together (it’s okay, I couldn’t either), designate a few cans for mixing. We got a few things of generic Play Doh as a gift so I decided that they would be the ones to get all mixed up and awesome.
And aren’t they awesome??
