Lansinoh Affinity Pro Double Electric Breast Pump Review

Lansinoh Affinity Pro double electric breast pumpI always love to watch the evolution of a great product line, especially when I’ve successfully used a version of the product myself. Today I get to share with you all the details about the new Lansinoh Affinity Pro double electric breast pump, and I couldn’t be more excited about it!

When my boys were infants (in 2008 and 2010), I used my Lansinoh double electric pump for feeding the boys when I was away. It was a great, affordable pump and successfully got me through a combined three years of breastfeeding my boys, but the added features in the Affinity Pro are incredible, and you won’t believe the price!

Lansinoh Affinity Pro Double Electric Breast Pump

Here are the details of the new Affinity Pro, and then we’ll get to why I love it so much:

  • Three customizable pumping styles allow you to maximize milk production and comfort
  • Adjustable cycle and suction allows for ultimate customization and comfort
  • Hygienically designed to guarantee that no milk backs up in tubing
  • LCD screen with timer helps you keep track of time
  • Compact, lightweight base is portable
  • Includes carry tote for on-the-go convenience
  • Compatible with any hands-free bra for multi-tasking
  • ComfortFit™ Flanges ensure a comfortable, proper fit (Larger flanges available at lansinohstore.com)
  • Bottle holders prevent spills and protect precious milk
  • BPA free

I got to see the pump in person at the ABC Expo last fall and then got my own about a week ago. It’s awesome.  The pump parts are super easy to assemble, the bottle stands are so stable, and the 5 oz. bottles can comfortably be held across your chest with one hand or two or placed inside a pumping bra. The Affinity Pro pump’s base unit can be run on batteries or AC adapter and features a timer, which is very handy for those bleary, sleep-deprived days and nights when you can’t keep track of anything in your head! Suction and speed levels are all easily adjusted using the buttons on the pump’s base.

All of the parts of the Affinity Pro are designed so well and fit easily inside the carry tote, which is roomy, functional, and a huge bonus for all breastfeeding and pumping moms, but especially working moms. Lansinoh has so many breastfeeding accessories to make the breastfeeding and pumping experience better and more comfortable:  HPA lanolin, milk storage bags, Soothies gel pads, disposable nursing pads, and Thera-Pearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy. The Thera-Pearl can be use while resting between nursing or pumping or during your next pumping session, as it attaches securely to the ComfortFit Flanges. Used cool or warm, Thera-Pearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy can help with engorgement or clogged ducts or just general discomfort. When used while pumping, a warm Thera-Pearl can help reduce let-down time and overall pumping time. A warm compress while nursing and pumping helped me so much, and I love how easy the Thera-Pearl is to use!

Comments

  1. I love that it has a light, portable base. The one we had was really big and clunky.

  2. I really like how compact it is–the one we rented from the hospital was huge. For the cups, I like that one “base” fits different types of lid. That’s always so convenient for reducing clutter in our house! Krista, does the timer on the pump have an auto shut-off? I was always afraid I would fall asleep while pumping in those early days!

  3. I love it that you can attach the Thera-Pearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy pads to the shields! Those first few days of breastfeeding are torture with engorgement…so this would really help!

  4. I love how small it is and that it features a timer! Putting a timer on there is genius!

  5. could really use this! trying to get pregnant now

  6. Joy – I have an answer for you! There isn’t an auto-off feature except for the power save, which is that if the unit is turned on and is unattended for 60 minutes, it will turn off.

  7. That’s a great pump. I wish I had one of those after I had my babies.

  8. Shirley Dubon says:

I love that the momma feeding products have interchangeable lids and that the nipples look (and maybe feel) like the real thing! I’d love to win these for my baby:-)

  9. Adrianne B says:

My fave feature of the cup is that it rocks but doesn’t tip.

  10. I love that the rounded shape of the bottom of the feeder prevents it from tipping over.

  11. I love that it was the breast therapy attached to the pump

  12. i love that the bottles and sippy cups are non spill!

  13. Ashley Parks says:

I love the shape of the bottles/cups!! I like that they won’t tip!

  14. i like that the lids are interchangable

  15. i like that the lids are interchangeable

  16. I like the bottles with the interchangeable lids to turn them into toddler cups.

  17. I really like the interchangeable tops so they can use the same cups for a year or more.

  18. Brenda Burgess says:

    small and has timer

  19. It’s basically effortless! Awesome.
